The Hammam Ritual
The experience begins in a warm, humid room scented with eucalyptus, where steam opens the pores and prepares the skin for deep cleansing. The body is then coated with black soap, a natural olive-based paste with purifying and softening properties. After a few minutes, a practitioner uses a Kessa glove to exfoliate the skin, eliminating dead cells and revealing soft, silky skin.
The Relaxing Massage
After the purification of the hammam, it's time for an oriental massage using precious oils such as argan oil or orange blossom oil. This slow, deep massage, performed with fluid, enveloping strokes, relieves muscular tension and promotes total relaxation.
Rinse and Mask
After exfoliation, the body is rinsed with lukewarm water, followed by a mask using rhassoul, a Moroccan volcanic clay with purifying and nourishing properties. This treatment can be enriched with essential oils or rose water for optimum hydration.
A Unique Sensory Experience
The atmosphere of a traditional riad, with its subdued lighting, colorful mosaics and the subtle scent of oils and incense, transforms this treatment into a true parenthesis of well-being. A cup of mint tea and a few Moroccan sweets often round off this unforgettable experience.
