Ouzoud waterfalls

The Ouzoud waterfalls in Morocco's Middle Atlas region are among the country's most beautiful and impressive waterfalls. They are about 150 km from Marrakech, in the province of Azilal.

Tour description

An excursion to the Cascades d'Ouzoud is an immersive experience in Moroccan nature. Here's what to expect:

  1. Departure and route
  • Departure usually early in the morning from Marrakech, leaving the Riad at 8:00 a.m.
  • The journey takes around 2h30 to 3h, through a variety of landscapes (plains, hills and mountains).
  • Stop off in a Berber village for mint tea.
  1. Arrival at the waterfalls
  • The Ouzoud Cascades are around 110 meters high, with several levels and lush vegetation.
  • The area is surrounded by olive and fig trees, making it an ideal setting for relaxation.
  • Observation of the magot monkeys that populate the region, often in search of food.
  1. Hiking and activities
  • A guided walk takes in several panoramic viewpoints.
  • You can descend to the foot of the waterfalls on a specially prepared path.
  • Boat trips are available to get as close as possible to the waterfalls.
  1. Lunch break
  • Several local restaurants offer traditional meals overlooking the waterfalls (tagines, grills, etc.).
  1. Back to Marrakech
  • Late afternoon, departure for Marrakech, arriving in the evening.
